Autocross Classing
So you go to the Autocross registration table and they ask you what class you are running in. You are tempted to say that you only go 1st class, but are considering just giving them a dumb look instead. Neither one really helps the people working registration.
We use a modified version of PCA autocross classing for medium sized regions. Have a look below, find your car, find your class, and impress the people at registration with your knowledge. ![]() S - Showroom Stock: As delivered, no modifications. Adjustments OK if nothing modified. Street tires with treadwear ratings > 140. Wear and tear replacements must be OEM equivalents. Spare tire & tools remain in car. (This class category is only for the relatively recent cars shown). S1 911 Carrera 2 (964:1990-1994), Carrera 4 (964:1989-1994); RS America (1993-1994); 911 Carrera (993:1995-1998); Cayenne (9PA:2003-On), All S2 Boxster (986:1997-2004); Boxster (987:2005-On); Cayman (2006-On) S3 Boxster S (986:2000-2004); Boxster S (987:2005-On); Cayman S (2006-On) S4 911 Carrera (996:1999-2005); 911 Carrera (997:2005-On); 911 Turbo (965/993/996/997:1991-On); GT2/GT3 (996/997: 2002-On); Carrera GT (980:2004-On) P - Production: Many modifications allowed, some are quite significant including DOT "R" compound tires. Most cars fit in here. Ladies may choose to run in S-L, P-L, I-L, or M-L if desired . I1 and I2 may be combined. The same is true for M1 and M2 . Classes with only 1 car may be bumped to the next class, based on PCR classing
