Autocross
April 14 - 15 is the Autocross weekend to be sure to attend! On Saturday, there is an Advanced Autocross Driving School, Sunday is a regular autocross, come on out again on Sunday, May 20th for more autocross excitement! Both autocrosses will be held at Zephyrhills.

PORSCHE ON PARADE CAR SHOW & WASH & SHINE, SUNDAY APRIL 1st.
Our event is within walking distance is the Festivals of Speed, a great very high-end car show, and some great boats to view. BERT SMITH PORSCHE, our sponsor will hand out awards, and hold a raffle. This is held at SPA BEACH PARK on 2nd Avenue North, which is the Pier approach. We will have beverages and you can bring lunch or dine in one of the many restaurants nearby.
8 AM Park Opens
Directions: Located at the end of Second Avenue N.E. on the downtown St. Petersburg waterfront. From I-275, take Exit 23-A (Old 10) going East to 2nd Street and turn right (South). If you miss 2nd Street, you can turn righ on 1ST Street or even Beach Drive and then turn right. Travel South to 2nd Avenue N.E. and then turnleft (East) towards the Pier. MARCH EVENTS
Autocross at Zephyrhills Airport on March 4th!!
Registration and tech inspection 8am -9am. Novice course walk at 9:15, followed by driver's meeting at 9:45.Snell 2005 helmet or newer required, loaner helmets available. All payment is taken at the site. Lunch and water provided. Non-Porsche vehicles are welcome.
Directions:
From the north take US 301 S, then left on South Ave., from the south, take US 301 north, then right on South Ave.,
From the west take Hwy 54 east, then right on US 301 then left at the first light onto South Ave. Once on South Avenue, continue to right on 20th St. then left on Alston. Stay on Alston and enter the water treatment facility, look for the PCA signs directing you to the taxi way.
Do not enter through the public airport entrance!

 February 25th is our fabulous Driver's Education school at the world famous Sebring International Raceway. Your Porsche is wistfully looking forward to coming on Saturday to watch other Porsches having fun. Someday your car would like to come and play with the other Porsches. So, take the day off and come and watch how the school is conducted. There will be over one hundred cars participating. This will be a beautiful day to watch and a great day to enjoy the sunshine. We'll be looking for you and it's free!

UPDATE . . . . . Jill Perry reported in the Profile that work has been underway to create a special event for Suncoasters for the Amelia Island 2012 Concours d’Elegance. The Porsche Driving experience sold out in December and many of the other events sold out, too. We have continued to work with organizers of the event to create a special event for Suncoasters but have run across a situation where all of the hotels are sold out on the island. We are going to investigate the possibility of going as a group in 2013 and will attend the event to see what we can set up for next year. Jill would like to apologize for the issue and hope to have something exciting put together for next year!
