UPDATE . . . . . Jill Perry reported in the Profile that work has been underway to create a special event for Suncoasters for the Amelia Island 2012 Concours d’Elegance. The Porsche Driving experience sold out in December and many of the other events sold out, too. We have continued to work with organizers of the event to create a special event for Suncoasters but have run across a situation where all of the hotels are sold out on the island. We are going to investigate the possibility of going as a group in 2013 and will attend the event to see what we can set up for next year. Jill would like to apologize for the issue and hope to have something exciting put together for next year!

There are still openings for the February 4 Zonefest Autocross event at Sebring, concurrent with the PCA 48 hours event. Gold Coast region is organizing the event, and Bert Smith will be sponsoring. The day promises great competition and a fun atmosphere, and entrants receive a free t-shirt or hat. If you are interested please register at clubregistration.net. Suncoast Motorsports is once again hosting their annual Porsches and Polo event on February 12th at the Sarasota Polo club located at 8201 Polo Club Drive, Sarasota, FL.
This includes a catered lunch, refreshments, a polo match and of course Porsches on Parade. RSVP to Margharita at 941-921-8007 or mkomyati@sunsetautogroup.com. Only the first 200 people will allowed. Wrist bands will be mailed to Porsche Club members. The gates open at 11am.
Please note "This is not a PCA event but Sunset Motorsports always opens their doors to us". This is a very popular event and a lot of fun. Thank you to the folks at Suncoast Motorsports.

Registration is now open at www.clubregistration.net for the February 25-26 Driver's Education at Sebring International Raceway!
February typically has the nicest weather of our DE series, and makes for a really enjoyable weekend. Bug free, cool temperatures, and low humidity add up to more fun!

Please save January 18th for the first "Date your Porsche night" which will be held at the Colonade restaurant. Details will follow so keep your eyes peeled for further news.
The 48 Hours at Sebring is just around the corner. The dates are February 2nd thru the 5th at the Sebring International Raceway. We will need lots of volunteers so here is your chance to work in Timing & Scoring, Hospitality, Tech, Autocross, and assisting the SCCA corner workers. This is by far the largest PCA Club Race in the United States. Sign up at the 48hoursat sebring.com to reserve the job of your choice. NO EXPERIENCE NECESSARY!
